Carestream donates supplies, matches donations for Haiti relief efforts
Carestream Health has contributed to the earthquake relief efforts in Haiti by donating its ITX-560 mobile x-ray solution to a temporary hospital set up in Port-au-Prince’s airport, by way of a service engineer of the company, Jack Williams, who volunteered to travel to Haiti to deploy the equipment.

In addition to the ITX-560, Carestream has also sent medical x-ray film, chemistry and cassettes to Centre Hospitalier du Sacre-Coeur/CDTI  in Port-au-Prince, as well as to Justinian Hospital at Cap Haitien, Haiti, said the Rochester, N.Y.-based company.

An employee donation matching fund has also been established, Carestream said. For every dollar that Carestream employees donate to the American Red Cross through Feb. 19, Carestream will match that amount and make a donation to the rebuilding efforts in Haiti.
