Carestream nets new U.S. DR orders
Carestream Health has taken new orders from U.S. healthcare facilities for its direct radiography (DR) imaging systems that provide direct digital capture of medical x-ray exams.

The company said that its DR portfolio includes the Kodak DirectView DR 9500 system with a ceiling-mounted U-arm that contains both a tube and detector; Kodak DirectView DR 7500 system with single- and dual-detector configurations, wall stand and table options and an optional long-length imaging system; and Kodak DirectView 3500 system.

The orders included:
  • AOS Medical Center in Glendale, Calif., purchased a Kodak DirectView DR 3500 System and a PACS workstation for its orthopedic practice through Merry X-Ray, an authorized distributor;
  • Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham, Md., ordered two Kodak DirectView DR 7500 systems and a Kodak DirectView DR 3500 system for its general radiology department;
  • Reading Hospital and Medical Center in West Reading, Pa., purchased a DR 3500 for its outpatient imaging facility; and
  • Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, ordered a dual-detector DR 7500 system for its Wilce Student Health Center.
