Group purchasing organization (GPO) Consorta is extending supply agreements with Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc. and Eastman Kodak Co.
Consorta's pact with Fuji covers the company's computed radiography (CR) products for the next three years and includes Fuji's complete line of CR readers, imaging plates, cassettes and accessories. The portfolio includes the FCR 5000 Series of CR readers, the compact SmartCR and the ClearView-CS, which Fuji launched in June. Fuji says the contract is worth an estimated $15 million over the length of the agreement. Fuji also supplies film and dry imager products to Consorta's membership of non-profit health care facilities.
Kodak's Health Imaging division will supply Consorta's 2,100 member healthcare facilities with digital imaging systems, such as CR and digital radiography (DR) systems. Consorta has had a supply contract with Kodak for general radiography and mammography film and DryView laser imaging systems since 1999.
