Contracts for Agfa in N.C., Ill.
Agfa HealthCare said that the UNC Health Care department at the University of North Carolina has begun the installation process for its new radiology information system, to be integrated into its existing Impax PACS and TalkStation reporting solutions.
UNC Health Care expects the integration of the Agfa HealthCare systems with UNC's own proprietary clinical repository will result in improved throughput, as well as better reporting and event tracking.
Agfa also announced that Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers of Morris, Ill., has installed its integrated Impax PACS and the cardiovascular image and information management (CVIS) solutions, in a deal that also includes service maintenance agreements. The installation of the two integrated systems at Morris Hospital, which performs 60,000 radiology and cardiology exams each year, was completed early in the second quarter of 2007.
