DeJarnette Research Systems Inc. has released a CT workflow white paper that addresses the issues associated with new high-speed multi-detector CT (MDCT) scanners in a PACS environment.
The free 18 page white paper can be obtained at the DeJarnette website  Part of the white paper is an analysis of the cost of operational inefficiency associated with current MDCT operations in a PACS environment.
The authors of the white paper relied on data obtained from five clinical sites which have been early adopters of the company's dyseCT workflow engine technology:
  • Akron General Medical Center
  • UCLA Medical Center
  • SUNY Upstate Medical Center
  • Yale-New Haven Hospital
  • Maryland General Hospital
