Digirad shows Q2 turnaround
Nuclear medicine and ultrasound imaging system provider Digirad posted an increase in net income and a slight dip in sales for its fiscal 2007 second quarter (end-June 30).

Consolidated revenues for the quarter were $18.8 million, compared with $19 million for second-quarter 2006, according to the Poway, Calif.-based firm. The firm showed a strong turnaround in profitability for the period, recording net income of $238,000, compared with a net loss of $1.2 million for the same period last year.

Digirad anticipates consolidated revenues for 2007 in the range of $77 million to $80 million and consolidated net losses ranging from $500,000 to $2.5 million, including estimated stock-based compensation expense of $1.1 million.
