ECRI releases new guide for MR Safety
Magnetic resonance scanners present unique safety hazards because ferromagnetic objects can become deadly projectiles, device cables can cause patient burns, and other pieces of medical equipment can malfunction. To address those issues, ECRI recently published updated guidance to help MR facilities protect their patients, staff and equipment. The article appeared in the October 2005 issue of their Health Devices journal.
