Siemens Medical Solutions and EMC Corp. have announced a strategic alliance which will allow Siemens to offer the full range of EMC network storage systems to the healthcare customers.
Specifically, Siemens will offer EMC Symmetrix, CLARiiON and Centera networked storage systems with its medical imaging systems, Soarian health information solutions (HIS), and syngo suite of RIS and PACS offerings.
The main objective of the partnership is to offer healthcare organizations a tiered information infrastructure to implement an information lifecycle management (ILM) strategy.
