eRAD (Booth 6254) is introducing a Calcium Scoring plug-in module for its eRAD PACS cardiac imaging feature set. Calcium scoring allows quick quantification of calcium deposits for early detection of coronary artery disease. The plug-in module is a wizard-like tool that walks the user through identification and classification of calcium deposits. The result is a completed calcium scoring and patient report which can be saved as part of the exam, the company says. The entire process can be completed in less than three minutes.
