The U.S. FDA has granted clearance for Pinyons Medical Technology to market its PowrSyringe injector, a disposable hand-held device to inject and aspirate fluids, which can be used in angiography.

The PowrSyringe injector is expected to be available for commercial sale in early 2008 for the U.S. market, according to Park City, Utah-based Pinyons. The firm said that foreign patents are at varied stages, with some issued and others pending on the PowrSyringe injector, monitor and aspirator.
