FDA clears Toshibas VeloCT console upgrade
Toshiba America Medical Systems’ VeloCT, a console upgrade for existing systems, has received FDA clearance and is now available.

VeloCT features enhancements for patient safety, dose management and workflow for Aquilion 32, Aquilion 64 and Aquilion CX CT systems manufactured between 2006 and 2012, including:
  • Adaptive Iterative Dose Reduction 3D software that reduces noise, allowing for lower radiation dose.
  • NEMA XR 25 Dose Check software with Dose Alert and Dose Notification tools to increase user awareness of dose being administered to patients.
  • Tracking and DICOM IHE Structured Dose Report for dose management and reporting.
