FiatLux receives FDA clearance for advanced viz application
FiatLux Imaging has received FDA 510(k) clearance for the new release of Visualize, its medical imaging application, which is based on video game technology, to create 2D/3D images from CT and MRI scans.

Using the functionality of DirectX game programming protocols, engineers have created a medical image analysis tool for use by physicians anywhere, anytime, according to the Redmond, Wash.-based company.

FiatLux Imaging CEO Mary Frances Feider said that harnessing the power and superior graphics capability of game technology for use in the medical imaging field brings a new level of affordable quality and accessibility to physicians and their patients.
