GE layoffs represent move from analog to digital imaging
GE Healthcare has announced layoffs at its x-ray unit in Helsinki, Finland, due to GE’s shift from analog imaging to digital imaging technology.

The current terminations will total up to 70 jobs. GE also announced that it eventually plans to close the entire unit due the shift in focus.
GE Healthcare employs about 1,100 people in Finland.
