iCAD Inc. and Fisher Imaging Corp. have formed a development and distribution alliance for iCAD's new FDA-approved iAD product.
The agreement will enable Fischer to offer its customers a complete computer-aided detection (CAD) system for both digital and analog applications.
Both companies have a cooperative agreement that integrates the iCAD iDM CAD product with Fischer's SenoScan digital mammography system.
In related news, iCAD also announced its CAD technology will be offered on i3Archive Inc.'s National Digital Mammography Archive (NDMA).
NDMA allows participating hospitals and physicians to access the largest national database of digital mammography images, associated clinical and demographic data, and centralized CAD algorithms. NDMA participants can store, distribute, analyze and access any DICOM breast image and its related clinical and demographic data without the need for any capital investment.
