Imaging Dynamics Company said this week it has begun R&D to utilize its Xplorer digital radiography technology for the digital mammography market.

“We are experiencing tremendous growth and global acceptance of our current digital products in general radiography and will continue to focus on this expanding market,” said Darryl Stein, president and CEO of IDC. “Mammography applications are the natural next step for IDC’s digital technology platform, and are a rational fit for our technologies and competencies. As with general radiography, IDC is responding to market demands for a high-resolution, cost-effective solution as mammography transitions towards digital imaging.”
