Molecular Insight Pharmaceuticals announced last week the pricing of its initial public offering of 5 million shares of common stock at a price of $14 per share. All of the shares are being sold by Molecular Insight. Molecular Insight's common stock will trade under the trading NASDQA symbol "MIPI."


The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) has announced the second year of its scholarship program for medical informatics residents. The scholarship is open to first- or second-year medical residents in North America who are interested in imaging informatics.

Travel expenses and meeting registration for the SIIM 2007 Annual Meeting, as well as a one-year SIIM membership, are included for the recipients. The SIIM Annual Meeting takes place in Providence, R.I., June 7-10. Applicants are asked to submit a 500-750 word essay on the topic: "Improving Workflow Efficiency for Radiologists." The winning essays will be published in the Journal of Digital Imaging or SIIM News. Topics of interest to SIIM members include PACS (monitors, networking, and storage), digital teaching files, speech recognition, computer-aided interpretation, reading room workflow and ergonomics, and communication technologies.
