McKesson EHR nets 2007 CCHIT certification
Healthcare information systems developer McKesson of San Francisco reported that the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) has certified the firm’s Practice Partner 9.2.1 electronic health record (EHR) system meets the Commission’s ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) criteria for 2007.

McKesson said that the Practice Partner 9.2.1 software has been tested and passed inspection of a set of updated criteria for functionality (the capability to create and manage electronic records for all patients, as well as automating workflow in a physician’s office); interoperability (the capability to receive and send electronic data to other entities such as pharmacies and laboratories); and security (the capability to keep patients’ information safe).
