Healthcare IT application developer MedPlexus said that it has made available a suite of software as a service tool including practice management software, EHR systems and a web browser-based patient self-service portal.

The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based firm is also offering software as a service tools for billing, front-office call management, practice auditing, and accounting services.

Under the software as a service model, MedPlexus hosts the applications and manages the maintenance, software upgrades and disaster recovery for a practice or facility.
