MINRAD International announced that it has received CE Mark approval for its Light Sabre product line. This product line also meets the international quality requirements of ISO 13485:2003 and the Canadian Medical Devices Conformity Assessment System (CMDCAS). The Light Sabre product line is to be used in conjunction with MINRAD’s SabreSource real-time image guidance system. The Light Sabre line is comprised of disposable procedure needles designed to provide both accuracy (+/- 3mm) and reliable alignment for a physician performing minimally invasive procedures, the company says.
