Misys Healthcare Systems posts revenue and profit gains
The addition of Misys CPR helped boost revenues at Misys Healthcare Systems in the company's first six months of FY04, ending Nov. 30, 2003.

Revenues increased to $253 million, up 11 percent from the same period in FY03. Operating profits - adjusted for goodwill amortization -- rose 5 percent to $35 million. Misys noted that profit was adversely affected by integration costs and a small operating loss associated with the CPR product.

Revenue growth was boosted by a four-month contribution from the Misys CPR computerized patient record (CPR) product that was acquired on July 29, 2003.

Misys Healthcare Systems CEO Tom Skelton said the Raleigh, N.C.-based company "continued to invest heavily in our electronic medical records (EMR) system and customize it for a variety of medical specialties."
