NEC shows solutions for speed, efficiency
Through its partnership with Imprivata, NEC Corporation of America resells OneSign as TouchPass. NEC displayed the integrated solution that uses fingerprint identification to enable single sign-on, making application access fast, convenient and highly secure.
NEC Unified Solutions Inc. also displayed its enhanced Univerge Assured Mobility portfolio by adding a location tracking component. The Wi-Fi-based RFID solution operates within NEC’s wireless optimized architecture to accurately track the location of medical devices, patients and hospital staff, increasing workflow efficiency and reducing costs for healthcare organizations. Location Tracking enables hospital staff to easily track and quickly locate tagged equipment and patients. Patients can alert clinicians through a remote call button. The system also provides a record of where a patient was taken and the types of equipment used in their vicinity, allowing for improved billing efficiencies through location-based association. For enhanced security and productivity, location-based events automatically trigger alerts and notifications to administrators.
