Neurostar Solutions has changed its name to AccelaRAD to more accurately reflect its focus on software-based services engineered for radiology groups.

The Atlanta-based AccelaRAD offers a virtual radiology network (VRN), a web-based imaging and radiology throughput management solution designed from the ground up for Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery.

The VRN offers such functionalities as automatically updated worklists, hanging protocols, priors from third-party PACS, RIS/HIS HL7 interfacing, and exam load balancing integrated across multiple locations to support an enterprise, according to Willie Tillery, CEO of AccelaRAD
