NovaRAD adds features to its cardio viewer
NovaRAD showcased new functionality of its NovaPACS Cardio Viewer, a dual-monitor clinical workstation that comes with cardio tools for both cardiologist and cath lab operators at the annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology this week in Atlanta. NovaPACS can calculate percent stenosis and ejection fraction and attach the results to the exam as additional studies, and can be purchased as a standalone system or added to an existing NovaPACS workstation, the company said.

The NovaPACS Cardio Viewer offers single sign-on access to images on the PACS or via the web. New features of the viewer include: image calibration based on catheter size; ejection fraction which calculates the amount of blood present in the left ventricle after it discharges; digital subtraction; multiple simultaneous cardiac image viewing; and an option for multimodality workstation that can serve all cardiology and radiology images.
