NovaRad releases new RIS
NovaRad Corporation has released its new NovaRIS, a web-based, open standards RIS capable of generating reports, analyzing exams, measures profitability and facilitates paperless management of patient records, the company said.
NovaRIS is able to track exact reimbursement costs, which insurance companies paid for what, and which procedures are currently making or losing money. It can also track the productivity of individual radiology techs.
Featuring voice recognition and transcription, NovaRIS also contains specialized worklists and interfaces for administrative assistants, technologists, radiologists, transcriptionists, and billing specialists.
Additional NovaRIS features include: Scheduling; Auto Fax and auto e-mail; HIPAA logging; HL7 interfaces; electronic signature for radiologists; an audit trail; and seamless integration with NovaPACS or other third-party PACS or HIS.
NovaRad developed NovaRIS on the same platform as its PACS product, NovaPACS. Together, the systems enable fast retrieval of images and information from any web-enabled computer.
