Oxford hospital to deploy Siemens ultrasound
Oxford Children’s Hospital, part of Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust in the United Kingdom, has ordered the Acuson S2000 ultrasound system from Siemens Healthcare.

Designed to support general imaging and cardiac applications, the Acuson S2000’s acoustic technology delivers 2D, 3D, color and pulse-wave Doppler plus 4D imaging for a confident diagnosis, according to Siemens. SieClear spatial compounding enhances anatomic border definition and improves tissue contrast, the company said.

Using pattern recognition technology and a database of real clinical cases, the S2000 can recognize anatomical patterns while its syngo eSieCalcs native tracing software can select and measure lesions and structures in 2D or 3D, Siemens said.
