Pacsgear bringing new MediaWriter to SIIM
PACS/EHR document and multimedia provider Pacsgear Inc. introduced its MediaWriter, a lower-cost, distributed CD/DVD burning system that is able to simply write DICOM files to portable media. The product will be featured at the upcoming SIIM Annual Meeting in Providence, R.I., June 7-10.
MediaWriter gives hospitals, outlying departments and imaging centers a DICOM distribution solution that is designed to be easy to configure, deploy and maintain.
The product has the “ability to combine studies from multiple DICOM devices and write to different portable media will be very important for remote, image-intensive departments. The burner/printer is the size of a loaf of bread and can quickly print color labels as it spins," said Brian J. Cavanaugh, president of Pacsgrear.
