QStar Technologies now supports Rimage disc systems
QStar Technologies has announced that it now offers online archiving support for Rimage disc publishing systems that use its HSM and Data Director products. The new software package will be available in December.
QStar said its support allows customers to manage online pools of archived data through a tiered storage management structure which also supports disc publishing in optical archive formats.
The software package allows users to write large quantities of data automatically, spanning across multiple DVD or Blu-ray discs, which are automatically recorded in a non-proprietary file system and print labels using the Rimage disc publishing system, according to QStar.
The Mary Esther, Fla.-based company said the software also includes features such as a single- or multi-volume view for all recorded media, automated data migration, scheduled archiving and archive data protection functionality.
