Radiation Therapy Services posts double-digit growth
Radiation therapy center operator Radiation Therapy Services (RTS) of Fort Myers, Fla., saw strong gains in both revenues and income for its fiscal 2007 second quarter (end-June 30).

Total revenue for the second quarter was $100.1 million, an increase of 37.9 percent from $72.6 million in the same quarter of 2006, with $15 million of the increase provided by new practices, or practices operated by RTS for less than a year, the company said.

Net income for the second quarter was $10 million, an increase of 13.2 percent from net income of $8.8 million for the same period in 2006.

RTS said it was increasing its expectation of revenues to the range of $390 to $402 million for the fiscal year. For the third quarter of 2007, RTS said it expects revenue to be in the range of $93 million to $99 million.
