RSNA: BRIT bolsters PACS with Dell technologies
Dallas-based BRIT Systems launched a high-speed configuration of its PACS servers and workstations utilizing Dell technologies at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) conference in Chicago.

According to the Round Rock, Texas-headquartered Dell, the server uses Internet technologies – such as clustering and cloud computing – and solid state drives to store and forward studies to workstations, which are also configured with solid-state drives.

BRIT re-architected its PACS server with GWT, Java databases and clustering tools on Dell’s computers to work with high-speed modalities, large image file sizes and multiple files.
