Sage Software demonstrates Intergy version 3.5
Sage Software Healthcare Division demonstrated Intergy by Sage Version 3.5, the latest version of its integrated EHR and electronic data interchange (EDI) applications, and practice management system. A CCHIT-certified product, Intergy by Sage Version 3.5 provides practices with a complete system to facilitate efficient workflow and revenue capture from appointment scheduling, to clinical care, to billing, to analysis. This gives practices significant control of financial and clinical details.

Launched last fall, the product is the first release since Sage Software’s acquisition of Emdeon Practice Services. This version focuses on features related to OB/GYN practices, such as OB/GYN-specific flow sheet and support functions, integrated practice analytics that provide physicians with the ability to analyze data across an entire patient population, printed prenatal records that provide a unique format that is recognizable to both clinicians and hospital personnel, an integrated ClaimsTracker and a PACS Reference Viewer.

CCHIT certification was important to Sage because it’s important to the industry, said Lynne Durham, marketing communications writer. She said a lot of potential customers are only looking at certified products. Certification will keep companies on their toes, she said, since the standards are “a moving target.” The standards will change every year so vendors will have to stay above the baseline. “It’s not a static product,” she said. However, products will continue to improve if companies maintain their certification. Certification also gives smaller practices a comfort level, she said.
