ScImage unveils new cardiology suite for PACS
ScImage demonstrated its new suite of cardiology applications for its PicomEnterprise PACS at the annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology this week in Atlanta. The new features include automatic multi-modality image and waveform presentation, measurement tools for echocardiography, single-click stress echo viewing protocols, and adoption of IHE profiles for cardiac cath and echo workflow, the company said.

The new cardio suite includes a large set of tools for diagnostic and clinical viewing and advanced reporting that also are available through web-based viewing. The system also offers hanging protocols so that users can do auto side-by-side static and dynamic datasets. Also, the web-based viewing component has a built-in M-Mode and Doppler measurements that eliminate the need for expensive fixed-position workstations. Finally, the release offers single-click stress echo viewing.
