Second ABII exam yields 84 new Certified Imaging Informatics Professionals
Eighty-four imaging informatics professionals joined the ranks of Certified Imaging Informatics Professionals (CIIPs) with the second administration of the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) exam in September 2007.
The first ABII exam administration in June 2007 produced the first 99 CIIPs. The total number of CIIPs is now 183.
The next administration of the ABII exam will be on March 28, at Pearson VUE centers across the United States. The deadline for applications is Jan. 20.
ABII Board Chair Richard Morin, PhD, FACR, commented on the high numbers of passers in both administrations. “Although September’s 87.5 percent pass rate and mean scores are down a bit from the June administration, the results indicate that both groups are exceptionally well-qualified candidates,” he said.
