Sectra shows Q1 sales gain
PACS and digital mammography developer Sectra reported that it saw double-digit gains in net sales for its fiscal 2007 first quarter (end-July 31).

The Linköping, Sweden-based company said that net sales for the period rose 11.1 percent to Swedish kronor 149.9 million ($21.69 million, U.S.), compared with net sales of 134.9 million kronor ($19.52 million) in the first quarter of fiscal 2006. The firm said that rising earnings from direct sales of medical systems in the United States and other markets outside Sweden contributed to the sales increase in the quarter.

Profit after financial items amounted to 3.5 million kronor ($506,000), a slight downturn compared with the profit of 5 million kronor ($724,000) from the same period last year.
