Japan-based Shimadzu introduced this month two new models in its angiographic system DIGITEX series – the DIGITEX Safire SP HC and DIGITEX Safire SP HF.

The new models, which consist of a direct conversion-type flat panel detector, x-ray tube, multiple image processing system and monitor, can carry out cardiac examinations and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs). The devices are built to provide high operability with high-resolution images all the while reducing radiation exposure.
