Sony inaugurates try & buy program
Sony Electronics of Park Ridge, N.J., formally launched its “try & buy” program for the firm’s FilmStation dry film imager at the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology conference in Los Angeles this week.

The FilmStation dry film imager line of medical printers, the UP-DF500 and UP-DF550 dual-tray configuration, produce up to 70 prints per hour in a compact and decentralized form factor that allows for horizontal and vertical placement of the devices.

The “try & buy” program offers a 60-day trial period and complimentary media pack for users interested in working with the FilmStation imagers. After 60 days, the unit can be purchased or returned to Sony. The promotion runs until Dec. 26, the company said.
