Medical device company TechniScan has extended its original equipment manufacturing (OEM) contract with medical imaging company, Esaote.

Under the terms of the agreement, Genoa, Italy- based Esaote will provide support for TechniScan’s engineering and manufacturing schemes for the Salt Lake City-based company to complete the development of their Svara whole-breast imaging system.

Esaote will also be involved in the development of TechniScan’s imaging network, said the company.
