Toshiba's CT dose tech gets FDA rubber stamp
Toshiba America Medical Systems has received FDA clearance for its Aquilion RXL Edition CT system, which reconstructs images and includes radiation dose reduction technologies.

Aquilion RXL brings radiation dose reduction technology to the 16-detector row CT system with Toshiba’s Adaptive Iterative Dose Reduction 3D, an algorithm designed to work in both the raw data and image data spaces, the Tustin, Calif.-based company said in a press release. The system also features Toshiba’s NEMA XR 25 Dose Check Software, and incorporates Toshiba’s suite of SURETechnologies.
