Touchstone's partnership with Evolved digitizes services
Touchstone Medical Imaging LLC has selected Evolved Digital Systems to be its digital partner as it replaces legacy systems and transitions from analog processes to digital workflow.
Touchstone, a privately held company based in Brentwood, Tenn., manages medical imaging facilities in six states. Touchstone has agreed to implement at multiple facilities Evolved's digital system which includes a web-based PACS, secure offsite archiving, online transcription, workflow, scheduling, and interface with existing information systems. All technologies are managed by Evolved.
Touchstone has already installed Evolved systems in four imaging centers, including two high-volume, multi-modality sites: Hermitage Imaging Center in Nashville and Tyler Open MRI and Diagnostic Services in Tyler, Texas. Its most recent installation at Village Imaging Center in Erie, Pa., was completed in 70 days from contract signing to live launch.
"We're now closely studying implementation of their system in two large urban areas where we have multiple sites," said Todd Cato, Touchstone VP of Operations. "It makes sense to get all these locations on the same backbone so physicians throughout the region can view images and reports remotely though a single system."
