Two Florida hospitals digitize echo lab with Camtronics
The Congenital Heart Institute at Miami Children's Hospital and Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, Fla., have installed Camtronics Medical Systems' Vericis cardiovascular information system.

Developed for echocardiography labs, Vericis acquires and stores digital echo studies, giving physicians instant network access to the data at high-end cardiac workstations. The workstations are not limited to the echocardiography lab; they also can be distributed throughout the enterprise for remote review and diagnosis.

The Vericis systems at both hospitals are connected by a T3 digital communication link, which allows for real-time remote consultations.

Miami Children's Hospital (MCH) is 268-bed licensed specialty hospital that treats more than 185,000 children a year. Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women, part of Orlando Regional Healthcare, is a 281-bed facility dedicated exclusively to the needs of children and women.
