UAE hospital deploys Philips iSite PACS
Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates (UAE), an affiliate of Johns Hopkins Medicine International, is the first public hospital in the Middle East to implement Philip Healthcare’s iSite on a ‘fee-per-study’ model.

Under the agreement, the hospital will pay a fee on a monthly basis to view, distribute and store medical images, rather than making a large payment for equipment up-front, Philips said.

The company also said it will provide the majority of uptime PACS service, computed radiography systems and client workstations. The solution integrates with the hospital’s Cerner HIS/RIS and also connects two remote sites over a Wide Area Network, according to the hospital.
