Volcano Q2 revenues rise, losses trimmed
Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and functional measurement (FM) cardiac product developer Volcano said that it saw double-digit growth in revenues for its fiscal 2007 second quarter (end-June 30) and that it has trimmed its net losses for the period.

The Rancho Cordova, Calif.-based manufacturer said that revenues for the 2007 second quarter increased 14 percent to $29.6 million, compared with sales of $25.9 million for the same period last year. The firm stated that net loss on a generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) basis were $3.9 million for the quarter, an improvement over the GAAP net loss of $4.2 million a year ago.
