West Virginia hospital deploys three Siemens ultrasound systems
New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton, W.Va., has recently installed three Acuson S2000 ultrasound systems and a spatio-temporal imaging correlation (STIC) application from Siemens Healthcare.

One Acuson S2000 system has been installed into the fetal medicine department and includes STIC, for obtaining images of fetal hearts.  STIC provides an automated acquisition of a fetal heart volume using an algorithm that compensates for variability in heart rate, according to the company.

The other Acuson S2000 ultrasound systems have been installed into the maternity department for pediatric, obstetric and gynecological work.
