Eklin Medical Systems, a provider of DR, ultrasound, PACS and practice management software, has signed a letter of intent with Zonare Medical Systems, a developer of premium systems, for the distribution of Zonare’s z.one ultrasound system to the equine veterinary care market in North America and select countries internationally.

The Santa Clara, Calif.-based Elkin said the z.one ultrasound system is a ConvertibleUltrasound platform based on Zone Sonography technology. Veterinary care providers are able to convert the z.one system from a cart-based system into a handheld ultrasound system.  

Zonare of Mountain View, Calif., has developed a variety of transducers providing the veterinary care provider Elkin with a variety of imaging options.
