ZyDoc, Topcon to partner
ZyDoc Medical Transcription of Hauppage, N.Y., reported that it has formed a business alliance with Topcon Anka Systems, a Paramus, N.J.-based ophthalmic instrumentation and digital imaging system provider.
The firms said they will offer ophthalmologists an integrated medical transcription and digital imaging product for their medical documentation needs. According to ZyDoc, the partnership will allow doctors to dictate their medical reports and link them to associated imaging.
The companies said that they have collaborated through HL7 data standards to allow integration of the transcription service and diagnostic imaging and testing results. After completion, the reports and imaging studies will be available on the internet for referring physicians, ZyDoc said.
