In an effort to promote itself as a radiology information system (RIS)-only company, Swearingen Software has an offer for hospitals in which it will provide its RMS RIS software free of charge if you’ll cover the install and yearly service charge. The move is to counter many of its “single source” competitors that offer multiple health IT products instead of specializing in RIS.

Swearingen’s offer is for customers that have purchased another RIS in the last 18 months. The company claims that it can guarantee that RMS will work with any other HL7 compatible product(s).
