Carestream Health to upgrade Scottish PACS
National Services Scotland (NSS) has reached a new agreement with Carestream Health to upgrade and migrate PACS across the country’s 34 hospitals.

As part of the agreement, Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream will replace all hardware with new WinTel platforms configured with Carestream Vue PACS V11 software. New compression, storage and retention plans will also be implemented on the National Archives.

The upgrade is scheduled for completion in November 2013, according to Carestream.

Carestream had completed an initial PACS installation across NSS in 2009.
