Agfa completes U.K. PACS installation
Agfa HealthCare has completed a full PACS installation for imaging-based planning, interpretation and results distribution at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which began in 2006 as part of the National Programme for IT (NPfIT).
NPfIT is an initiative of England’s National Health Service, whose goal is to move towards electronic care records for patients, to connect 30,000 general practitioners to 300 hospitals and to provide secure access to these records by authorized health professionals.
Agfa reported that Connecting for Health, the agency running NPfIT, chose them as a supplier to local service provider Accenture in the north and northeastern regions of England.
