Agfa HealthCare has announced a number of recent installs of its IMPAX systems in different countries.
The Niagra Health System in Ontario has become the first customer in Canada to implement Agfa's new web-deployable IMPAX 6.0 integrated PACS and Voice Recognition solution. Additionally, as part of a pre-launch contract, Niagra Health System will utilize Agfa's computed radiography systems to acquire, process and generate digital x-ray images to produce more than 300,000 exams and reports generated annually. This application will be available via the web to almost any secure local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) computer workstation.
A $4 million order with Maaslandziekenhuis Sittard, a healthcare institution in the Netherlands, includes the installation of a hospital-wide RIS/PACS solution from Agfa to provide image and information management.
Finally, implementation of the Agfa IMPAX 6.0, including integration with Ireland's Cork University Hospital Health's Information System (HIS), is slated for 2006. Integrated with IMPAX RIS, the IMPAX 6.0 enables healthcare facilities to optimize their clinical and IT efficiencies using a single workflow-based system to service users inside and outside the walls of a facility, providing consolidated management of patient image and information data.
