Air Force hospital selects Impax
The U.S. Air Force has selected and deployed Agfa HealthCare's Impax PACS to replace the existing PACS at Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base.

Agfa said that the Air Force chose Impax mainly because of its capability to meet its stringent network security standards. The Impax security features include armoring, encryption, access control, auditing and compliance with regional legislation. The features will allow the Air Force to reach its goal of securely connecting and consolidating data and imaging archives located at multiple regional facilities onto a single point of storage.

Located in Biloxi, Miss., Keesler Medical Center provides healthcare services for 10,831 active duty and 47,102 eligible local beneficiaries in a 40-mile catchment area. Its diagnostic imaging department boasts an array of equipment, including the Air Force's only 3T MRI system.
