Capsule notches new clients
Medical device connectivity provider Capsule reported that it has added more than 10 healthcare organizations to its DataCaptor roster.

DataCaptor features multiple device interface libraries with more than 370 different types of medical devices supported, such as patient monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and anesthesia machines. The product automatically converts the medical device data to HL7 or XML format and integrates it with an electronic medical record (EMR), clinical information system (CIS), or alarm and event management system.

The firm said that its new DataCaptor clients include: The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati; MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland; Dean Health System--St Mary's Hospital and the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation in Madison, Wisc.; and Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y.
